Once we've got your WhatsApp sender approved for your account, you'll need to begin submitting WhatsApp Templates.

WhatsApp Templates

WhatsApp requires businesses to use approved templates to begin communication with a guest. Templates are important because approved templates allow you to send messages to guests outside the 24-hour window.

When creating templates, if you want to use tags, such as First Name, in your template, you will need to be mindful of extra spaces. There will be a formatting error when a message contains four consecutive spaces. Breezeway automatically adds a space after a tag, so be sure to remove any unnecessary spaces to prevent errors. For best results, use the fewest spaces possible in the message.

Note: Once you submit WhatsApp templates for review, it can take 24-48 hours for us to receive approval from WhatsApp.

Auto-Message Configuration with Approved Templates

With WhatsApp, you are able to set auto-messages to go out to your guests. You can find this within Messaging -> Auto Messages -> Custom. WhatsApp requires approved templates to begin outbound communications with guests.

24 Hour Communications Time Widow

With WhatsApp, if a guest responds to one of your auto-messages or sends an inbound message to your number, you'll have a open 24 hour period where you can freely send messages back and forth to each other. Once that expires, you'll need to use an approved template for any outbound communication with the guest.
