A background check is required to participate in the Breezeway Service Network. This article walks you through what to expect during the process.
The background check takes about five minutes to complete and is free for service providers. Results are typically available within one business day.
Step 1: Acknowledge the Terms & Privacy Policy
When you start your background check, you'll be prompted to review and acknowledge the terms and conditions before proceeding.
Step 2: ID Verification
Upload a supported identity document. You can upload from your computer or use your device's camera to capture it directly.
Step 4: Allow camera access
You will need to allow Breezeway to access your device's camera. We do not store your images for any other purpose than the ID verification process.
Step 5: Upload Selfie with the verified document

Step 6: Wait for results
Once submitted, results are typically available within one business day. You'll be notified of the outcome via platform notification and email.
Understanding your results
There are three possible outcomes:
Verified: Your check was successful and you can now participate in the network.
More information needed: You'll be notified if additional details are required.
Flagged: If issues are found, you'll be notified that you cannot participate at this time.

From the network home screen, you have two options:
Request a copy of your background check
Dispute information in your background check
If you choose to dispute, Breezeway will connect you with our third-party identity verification service to help resolve any issues.
