Reauthorizing Your Barefoot Integration

Written by Ash Armstrong

Overview

If your Barefoot integration stops syncing because of an authorization issue, you’ll need to reauthorize the connection. This usually happens when Barefoot’s Guest API access has been turned off for your account, or when your Barefoot Company Code has changed. Common signs include properties or reservations no longer updating in Breezeway.

Reauthorizing Barefoot is a Support-assisted process. You’ll restore access on the Barefoot side, and Breezeway Support will update your integration to reconnect it.

Before You Begin

To complete these steps, make sure:

  • You have access to your existing Breezeway account.

  • You can log in to your Barefoot account.

  • You know your current Barefoot Company Code, or can get it from Barefoot.

Step 1: Restore Access in Barefoot

  1. Complete the steps to enable Breezeway in your Barefoot account.

  2. Confirm that Guest API access is enabled for your account. If it isn’t, contact Barefoot at support@barefoot.com and ask them to enable it.

  3. Confirm your current Company Code with Barefoot.

Step 2: Contact Breezeway Support

Email support@breezeway.io to let us know you’ve restored access in Barefoot, and include your current Company Code.

Our team will check your integration, update it if needed, and let you know when the connection has been restored. There’s no need to create a new integration or set up your properties again.

Step 3: Confirm Your Data Is Syncing

Once we let you know the connection has been restored:

  • Reservation updates sync from Barefoot every hour, and a full reservation sync runs once a day, so it may take up to a day for all of your data to fully refresh.

  • Spot-check a few properties and upcoming reservations against Barefoot to confirm they match.

If your properties or reservations still aren’t syncing after a full day, contact us at support@breezeway.io and we’ll take a closer look.
