Reauthorizing Your Escapia Integration

Written by Ash Armstrong

Overview

If your Escapia integration stops syncing because of an authorization issue, you’ll need to reauthorize the connection. This usually happens when Breezeway’s permissions have been removed in Escapia, when HSAPI (HomeAway Software API) access has been disabled, or when the connection between Escapia and Breezeway has been disconnected. Common signs include properties or reservations no longer updating in Breezeway.

Reauthorizing is similar to your original setup: you’ll re-enable Breezeway in Escapia with all required permissions, then reconnect in Breezeway.

Before You Begin

To complete these steps, make sure:

  • You have access to your existing Breezeway account.

  • HSAPI access is still enabled for your account in Escapia.

  • You have your Escapia Company ID.

💡 If HSAPI access has been turned off for your account, contact us at support@breezeway.io before continuing. We’ll work with Escapia to get it re-enabled.

Step 1: Re-enable Breezeway in Escapia

Follow the Opt-in instructions for Escapia to enable Breezeway and grant all required permissions.

⚠️ Be sure every required permission is granted. Missing permissions are a common reason properties or reservations don’t sync after reconnecting.

Step 2: Reconnect Escapia in Breezeway

Once you’ve completed all steps in Escapia:

  1. In Breezeway, go to Settings → Integrations.

  2. Find Escapia and click Add.

Step 3: Confirm Your Data Is Syncing

  • Once the connection is restored, your properties and reservations should begin updating in Breezeway shortly.

  • Spot-check a few properties and upcoming reservations against Escapia to confirm they match.

If your properties or reservations still aren’t syncing after reauthorization, contact us at support@breezeway.io and we’ll take a closer look.
