With the new Update Guest Access Period feature, Breezeway can automatically adjust guest access times based on property readiness, allowing for smooth early check-ins.
Overview
When a guest code is created in PointCentral, that code is given a start and end date. Typically, this coincides with the start and end date (and time) of the guest’s reservation.
The codes provided to guests are available at the default check-in time. The code will not unlock the door until after the Starting date/time, so the guest cannot enter the property before check-in. If a guest wants to check in early, the Guest Access period must be updated in PointCentral. Now, Breezeway can update this automatically when the Update Guest Access Period setting is on.
Enabling and disabling the setting
From the Settings > Integrations page, locate the PointCentral integration.

Click the menu icon (three dots), and then Settings

You will be taken to the Settings tab. Use the toggle on the right-hand side to enable the feature.
How it works
When a property is set to Ready in Breezeway, we will update the guest access period for the guest code based on the number of hours set in the settings tab.
Use Cases:
1️⃣ Guest is set to check-in at 4 pm today. The previous guest checked out on the same day (back to back).
Start access period 3 hours before the next check-in when the property is Ready
If the property is made Ready at 11 am on the day of check-in, we will update the guest access period to begin at 1 pm.
Start access period 2 hours before the next check-in when the property is Ready
If the property is made Ready at 11 am on the day of check-in, we will update the guest access period to begin at 2 pm.
Start access period 2 hours before the next check-in when the property is Ready
If the property is ready at 3 pm on the day of check-in, we will update the guest access period to begin immediately.
2️⃣ Guest checks out on Sunday, but the next Guest doesn’t check in until Tuesday
Start access period 3 hours before the next check-in when the property is Ready
If the property is made ready on Sunday after guest departure, we will not update the guest access period until midnight on the day of guest arrival. On Tuesday, we will update the guest access period to begin at 1 pm.
3️⃣ Property is sitting Ready. Guest books new reservation checking in tomorrow.
Start access period 3 hours before the next check-in when the property is Ready
In this case, depending on your property status rules, the property may return to Dirty. If it does, they must complete their tasks before it will go Ready again.
For any property that is Ready before day of check-in, at midnight, we will update the guest access period to be available at the beginning of the window (Guest Checkin (4pm) - Access Period Setting (3 hours) = 1pm).
For any property made Ready after midnight, but before the window (1pm), we will update the guest access period to be available at the beginning of the window (1pm).
For any property made Ready after the start of the window (1pm), we will update the guest access period to be available immediately.
