Overview
If your Hostaway integration stops syncing because of an authorization issue, you’ll need to reauthorize the connection. This usually happens when your Hostaway API secret key has been regenerated or deleted, or when the connection between Hostaway and Breezeway has been disconnected. Common signs include properties or reservations no longer updating in Breezeway.
Reauthorizing involves generating a new API secret key in Hostaway and sharing it with Breezeway Support so we can restore the connection to your existing account.
Before You Begin
To complete these steps, make sure:
You have access to your existing Breezeway account.
You can log in to Hostaway and access Settings → Hostaway API.
Step 1: Generate a New API Secret Key in Hostaway
In Hostaway, go to Settings → Hostaway API.
Note your Account ID. This is the 5-digit number listed above the API Key section.
Click Generate API secret key and copy the new key.
ℹ️ Your Account ID is not the ID shown next to your newly generated API key. Be sure to use the 5-digit Account ID listed above the API Key section.
Step 2: Send Your New Key to Breezeway Support
Email the following to support@breezeway.io:
Your Account ID
Your new API secret key
Our team will update your existing integration with the new key. There’s no need to create a new integration or set up your properties again.
Step 3: Confirm Your Data Is Syncing
Once we let you know the connection has been restored:
Your properties and reservations should begin updating in Breezeway shortly.
Spot-check a few properties and upcoming reservations against Hostaway to confirm they match.
If your properties or reservations still aren’t syncing after reauthorization, contact us at support@breezeway.io and we’ll take a closer look.
