The Service Provider role is a great way for vendors and independent contractors to be added to a company for work collaboration.

There are two common types of Service Providers:

  • Single User: Independent contractor who works for themselves but offers their services to property management companies to get work done.

  • Multiple User Team: A company that performs a type of service or services and has multiple employees on their own staff.

This article will provide an overview of both types of Service Providers and the functionality of the roles within Breezeway.

Accepting an Invitation

You will receive an email with a link that will take you to a Sign Up webpage.

After entering your personal details, you'll be prompted to add your Company Information. The default text will show First Name / Last Name's Company, but can be replaced with your Company Name. The Company Name entered will appear to the company that invited you to the platform. The Company Name is required, but if you do not have a formal company name, it is suggested to use the default.

Once the invite has been successfully accepted Company Name and other details can be changed in Settings --> Company info.

Single User Service Provider

As a single user, you will be able to view and manage any tasks assigned to you from the Tasks page, which your landing page when logging in. Tasks not yet started, paused, and in progress will populate on the My Tasks list.

Completed, and other variations of closed tasks, can be view in My History.

Tasks assigned to Service Providers will appear as offers that can be accepted or declined in the Pending tab of My Tasks.

You can click on the task to view more details about the work before choosing to Accept or Decline the offer. You can also comment on the task to discuss specifics, and the assigning company will be notified of your comment.

You are also able to access the User Schedule and User Planning, as another way to view, plan and organize work.

Additional users can be added to your account by hovering over your initials in the bottom left and selecting Manage users. Once another user is added, your account will switch to a Multiple User Service Provider.

Multiple User Service Provider

When more than one user exists in your account, your experience will adjust to be able to manage your team. You will receive a notification that your platform experience has changed.

Your landing page will default to the Schedule page to provide a faster path for viewing and managing the schedules of multiple users. My Tasks can still be accessed under Tasks --> My Tasks.

As a Multiple User Service Provider, managing your company offers is done on Tasks page, under Company Offers. Within the Company Offers page, you can:

  • Accept or Decline incoming tasks individually, or in bulk by selecting the box next to the task(s).

  • View task details and comment on tasks prior to accepting offers, by clicking on the task name.

  • Assign tasks once they have been accepted.

Once you have accepted the task, you will be prompted to choose assignee(s). Those assignees will be notified of the work assignment and can view tasks in their My Tasks section.

If an offer has been accepted but no assignee has been designated, the task can be located in the Tasks --> All Tasks section.

If you remove members of your team and the user count is only the single original user, functionality will return to the Single User Service Provider. Additionally, any tasks not yet completed will be reassigned to the single user, and can be found in Tasks --> My Tasks, as well as Tasks --> All Tasks.

Payments

All Service Providers are able to sign up to receive payments for the tasks they complete. When first visiting Payments, the prompt will allow you to sign up. Additionally, you can navigate to Payments --> Payment Settings to sign up.

Please note that Task Payments requires sign up from both the Service Provider and the company assigning work.
