Creating Job Outlines

Written by Julie Lanio

A job outline describes the work you need help with across your properties: the services, the properties involved, your expectations and estimated pay. It is not tied to a specific date or task. You share it directly with a provider you are interested in so they can decide if the work is a good fit.

Job outlines are private. Providers cannot browse them, and a provider only sees an outline you share with them. Exact property addresses, names and photos are never shown to providers.

Starting a Job Outline

Select Create a job outline from Home, or go to My Job Outlines and start a new outline. Creating an outline takes about 5 minutes and you can save your progress at any time.

The job outline is built in 6 steps. You can go back to any completed step from the left panel. To move forward, fill in the required fields and select Continue.

💡Save your draft before leaving the page so you do not lose your work.

Step 1: Job Basics

Enter a Title (up to 75 characters) and select one or more Services.

Step 2: Properties & Area

Use Select Properties to choose the properties this work covers. Breezeway calculates the property count and the range of bedrooms, bathrooms and square footage for you. A map shows the general service area.

Note: Providers only see the general area and property ranges. Addresses, property names and photos stay hidden.

Step 3: Tasks & Preferences

Add the Task Templates that describe the work. You can give each template a Provider-facing name so your internal naming stays internal.

The Share task templates with providers setting is on by default. Sharing templates gives providers more context and can help them respond faster. Providers see template, section and task names only, never photos or costs.

Under Provider Preferences you can set:

  • Preferred language/s

  • Provider must bring their own supplies

  • Provider must wash linens and towels

Note: A template's content is captured when you add it to the outline. If you later change the template in your library, remove and re-add it to the outline to pick up the changes.

Step 4: Description & Pay

A Description is required (at least 100 characters). Breezeway will initially draft a description for you using the details from earlier steps. Edit it however you like. Once you edit the description, it is not regenerated automatically. Select Generate description to create a new draft; this replaces the current text.

Reflecting Pay details in the job outline is optional and is shown to providers as an estimate, not a commitment. Choose:

  • Pay per task: a minimum and maximum per task, and an estimate of tasks per month

  • Hourly rate: an hourly range and an estimate of tasks per month

Select Clear selection to remove pay details.

Note: Hourly pay can be shown on an outline as an estimate, but tasks you assign to a network provider require a per-task (piece) rate.

Step 5: Contact Information

Your Phone number and Email address are filled in from your account. Changes here apply only to this outline and do not update your account settings. This information will be shown to service providers who you share the job outline with.

Step 6: Review

Review a full preview of what the provider will see, then select Finish. Your outline is ready to share.

Managing Job Outlines

My Job Outlines lists every outline with its title, property count, location and pay type. Outlines that have not been shared are labeled Draft.

  • Preview : see the provider view

  • Edit : update the outline on a single page, then Save or Discard edits

  • Delete : permanently delete the outline. This cannot be undone and providers you shared it with can no longer open it.
