Guest verification is the first ever self service enabled feature at Breezeway. You have the ability to turn it on, and set it up at your pace. Below are the onboarding steps!
Navigate to Settings -> ID Verification. Select Get ID Verification.
Choose a default risk tolerance during onboarding - this will determine how many checks we’ll do on each guest verification submitted. The higher the tier, the more checks and balances and scrutiny we’ll apply in the verification processing. Here is where we'll display the pricing per verification as well - you will be billed for each verification submission submitted by a guest with the tier pricing listed in this step. You'll also see this pricing in the settings page when you get through onboarding.
Now choose which reservations we should require ID verification for:
Only new reservations created after today - When this option is chosen, only new reservations imported after ID verification is turned on will require verification. This is the easiest way to get started with guest verification, as it doesn't require going back and verifying all of your upcoming near term reservations.
New and existing reservations have not checked-in yet - When this option is chosen, all existing reservations in the Breezeway account that aren’t checked in will require ID verification.
Note: When you enable this option and activate the ID Verification auto-message, Breezeway will automatically run a one-time job to send the verification link to all existing reservations that now meet the requirements. We'll give you an estimate of how many reservations will be now be requiring verification on this screen. Remember, you will be billed for each verification that is filled out and submitted by each guest.
The final step of onboarding is to enable the ID verification auto-message. This ensures that the verification link is properly delivered to guests. This message is intended to act as a “we're excited to welcome you to the property” message, as it will be delivered when a new reservation appears in Breezeway and verification is required.
In step 2 if you choose New and existing reservations have not checked-in yet then the copy will reflect the choice and read “This message will send to existing and future reservations” reflecting the one-time job to ensure all of the reservations that newly require ID verification receive the appropriate link.
At this point, you’ll be able to make adjustments to your global risk tolerance here as well as disable the feature as you see fit.
