Release Notes August 2026

Everything we've launched this month ✏️

Written by Miranda Johnson

Concierge in Messaging
Available: August 26

  • Concierge, Breezeway's AI guest communications agent, is now generally available to all Messaging clients as a $4/property/month add-on. It automatically answers reservation-related guest questions using the property and operational knowledge already in Breezeway.

  • Key benefits:

    • Guests get fast, accurate answers to common questions like Wi-Fi, check-in/check-out, parking, and amenities, any time of day.

    • Teams spend less time on repetitive messages and can focus on higher-value guest interactions.

    • Full visibility into what Concierge learns and why, so trust builds over time.

  • What's new:

    • Autopilot mode automatically replies when confident, citing its source, and hands off to a human-reviewed suggestion when it isn't.

    • Copilot mode drafts suggested replies for every inbound message, giving teams full control before anything sends.

    • Concierge flags operational issues like leaks, pests, lockouts, and restocks with pre-filled Smart Task suggestions.

    • A new AI Activity Log lets admins and supervisors see what Concierge learned, from where, and undo any learning.

    • An instructions field lets companies set plain-language guidance for how Concierge writes messages.

    • Nicety detection keeps Concierge from replying to non-actionable messages like "thanks!"

    • A configurable response delay (30 seconds to 3 minutes) lets Concierge take in a guest's full message before replying.

    • An EU AI disclosure is automatically added for companies based outside the U.S. and Canada, in line with EU AI Act requirements.

P.S. Don't have Messaging or have Messaging but not Concierge? Talk to our team here for more information!

Bulk adding default assignees
Available: August 13

  • Setting default assignees for properties is now faster, with no CSV upload or one-by-one edits required.

  • Key benefits:

    • Save time when onboarding a new team or reassigning properties to a new hire.

    • Manage assignee changes at scale directly from the property list or a user's profile.

  • What's new:

    • Bulk assign from the Properties list: select multiple properties, choose a template or department, and set an assignee for all of them at once.

    • Bulk assign from Manage Users: add or remove a user as the default assignee across multiple properties from their profile.

    • Note: assigning defaults from the list page overrides any previous assignments.

User import and AI role mapping
Available: August 7

  • PMS user import with AI-suggested role mapping is now live for clients with a connected Guesty, Streamline, Track, or Hostaway integration.

  • Key benefits:

    • Clients can bring new hires into Breezeway automatically as they're added to the PMS.

    • AI-suggested roles cut down the manual work of assigning permissions to new users.

  • What's new:

    • Feature now available to all clients with connected Guesty, Streamline, Track, or Hostaway integrations.

    • Users can be imported on an ongoing basis as they're hired or added to the PMS.

Grant access to the devices setting
Available: August 4

  • Admins can now grant supervisors and other office users access to the Devices page without making them full admins.

  • Key benefits:

    • Gives supervisors and office staff the access they need without over-granting admin permissions.

    • Reduces bottlenecks when device requests previously had to route through an admin.

    • Keeps device management flexible as your team structure changes.

  • What's new:

    • A new "Grant access to devices" toggle in Manage users > Person details, alongside the existing Messaging and Inventory management toggles.

    • When enabled, the user gets full access to the Devices page and device settings.

    • The toggle only appears for companies with Devices enabled, and admins keep default access.
