Release Notes May 2026

Here is everything we launched this month ☀️

Written by Miranda Johnson

Subdepartment selection in reported issues

  • Available: May 11

  • When reporting an issue on desktop or mobile, you can now select a subdepartment at the time of creation, so nothing gets missed or has to be updated later.

  • Key benefits:

    • Categorize issues accurately the first time, without navigating back to update them.

    • Reduce the risk of missed or incomplete issue categorization.

    • Keep your reported issues organized and actionable from the start.

  • What's included:

    • A subdepartment dropdown now appears below the Department field when creating a reported issue on web and mobile.

    • The dropdown is optional and only appears when subdepartments exist for the selected department.

    • Controlled by a new global setting (disabled by default) — admins can enable it in General Settings.

Airbnb message reactions now visible in Breezeway messaging

  • Available: May 8th

  • Airbnb message reactions from guests and hosts are now surfaced directly in your Breezeway messaging conversation thread, giving you a complete view of every interaction without leaving the platform.

  • Key benefits:

    • Catch silent-but-meaningful guest signals, like a reaction confirming they received check-in details.

    • Stay on top of every conversation without switching between Breezeway and Airbnb.

    • Get the full picture of guest engagement in one place.

  • What's included:

    • When a guest or host reacts to a message in Airbnb, the reaction appears as its own entry in the Breezeway conversation thread.

    • Each reaction entry displays the emoji and a quote of the original message it was applied to (e.g., Reacted to "Your check-in time is 3pm..."). Long message quotes will be truncated.

    • Note: Only reactions added on or after May 1, 2026 will appear in Breezeway Messaging. Reactions prior to that date will not be backfilled.

Support for line breaks in messaging

  • Available: May 8th

  • You can now add line breaks in the Breezeway messaging input field, for both manual replies and auto-message templates.

  • Key benefits:

    • Send structured, well-formatted guest messages that are easy to read.

    • Build auto-message templates with clear visual spacing and hierarchy.

    • Meet the formatting standards your team relies on for professional guest communication.

  • What's included:

    • Use Shift + Return to insert a line break in the messaging input field.

    • Line break support is available for both manual replies and auto-message templates.

Two-factor authentication: remember this device

  • Available: May 4th

  • You can now stay verified longer. When completing two-factor authentication, check the new "Remember this device" option to skip re-verification for 90 days on that device.

  • Key benefits:

    • Reduce login friction for trusted devices without compromising account security.

    • Works across both web and mobile.

    • Fully opt-in — you stay in control of which devices are remembered.

  • What's included:

    • A "Remember this device" checkbox now appears on the 2FA verification screen.

    • When selected, that device won't prompt for 2FA again for 90 days.

    • Available on web and mobile. Opt-in only — the box must be actively checked.
