Guest ID Verification

  • Available: April 8

  • Available to Guide and Messaging clients. Verify guest identities and review background checks directly in Breezeway, powered by Autohost, with no third-party portals required.

  • Key benefits:

    • Reduce fraud and prevent bad bookings before guests arrive.

    • Protect sensitive property info and access codes until verification is complete.

    • Control exactly which reservations require verification with flexible targets and conditions.

  • What's included:

    • Self-service setup via Settings > ID Verification.

    • Three tiered verification levels (Core, Enhanced, Advanced) billed per verification on your monthly Breezeway invoice.

    • Verification status visible across Reservations and Messaging, with filtered views for quick follow-up.

    • Property-level tier adjustments, including bulk editing.

    • Verification links delivered automatically via auto-messages, with an option to halt additional messages until a guest is verified.

    • Verification gates access to sensitive guide content until complete.

    • Targets and conditions let you require verification only for last-minute bookings, exclude Airbnb reservations, and skip re-verification for returning guests.

Improved failed access code message

  • Available: April 7

  • We've enhanced how failed access codes are surfaced in the UI so users immediately understand what went wrong and how to resolve it.

  • Key benefits:

    • Remove ambiguity around duplicate code conflicts at a glance.

    • Reduce trial-and-error when managing access codes.

    • Create a smoother, more intuitive experience for your team.

  • What's included:

    • Failed codes now display a "Duplicate Code" secondary label when the failure is due to a code already in use.

    • Retrying a duplicate code shows a clear inline error message.

    • Manual code creation is blocked with a consistent inline error message if the code already exists on the device.
